MFA Index is an online platform started by a consortium of MFA programs to showcase the work of their graduates whose studies were impacted by COVID-19.

The founding MFA programs are:

UChicago Department of Visual Arts
Yale School of Art

If you are an MFA student at one of the above schools and would like to participate, contact your department administrator to request to be added.

The platform is also now open to additional MFA programs. If you would like your school to join, or have any questions, contact us using this form.

Yuri Yuan

Yuri Yuan (b. 1996) is a current Visual Arts MFA candidate at Columbia University, New York, NY. She received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL in 2019. Yuan was a recipient of the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation scholarship in 2020, and Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant in 2019. She has exhibited work at Make Room Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; The ROOM Contemporary Art Space, Venice, Italy; Lenfest Center for the Arts, New York, NY; Sullivan Galleries, Chicago, IL; Siragusa Gallery, Chicago, IL; International Center for the Arts, Umbria, Italy. Her work will be included in a forthcoming exhibition at the Wallach Gallery at Lenfest Center for the Arts, New York, NY. Yuan lives and works in New York, NY.
